Michele spent over 15 years as critical care RN before she found her true passion – breastfeeding. As struggles arose on her journey, through getting started, going back to work, nursing a toddler and weaning, she learned so much about breastfeeding and realized that real help for breastfeeding families is scarce. She decided to change career courses and become an IBCLC to provide the help to families that she so desperately needed during her own breastfeeding experience.
For over 4 years, she provided free home visits to families in Northern Arizona through a non-profit breastfeeding organization. She is proud to now be a part of the team here at Agave Pediatrics. So often, when breastfeeding difficulties arise, breastfeeding is simply replaced without simultaneously trying to fix the problem and make breastfeeding work. She is happy to work in a pediatric practice that truly supports breastfeeding families. Most breastfeeding problems do have solutions and she hopes to help you find those solutions together to meet your own unique goals.
